THE SPOT: Catch Specialty Fish Market, 2208 NE 123rd Street in North Miami - just outside Keystone Point and Sans Souci, opened in 2021 by Brett Heiken, a Miami native and avid fisherman. Brett makes the daily trek to the airport for shipments and pulls fresh-off-the-boat Florida wahoo, grouper, yellowfin, and snapper. Nothing in the case is ever frozen.

THE CASE: hyper-fresh fillets cut to order, sushi-grade selections, a ready-to-cook collection (his oven-ready branzino and salmon need 12 minutes at 400 degrees), ceviches and dips, and a sushi counter.

THE MOVE: stop in before the weekend, tell them what you are making, and let them cut it for you. Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:30-6:30, Friday 8:30-3:30, closed Saturday, open Sunday.
